I'm glad to see things are coming together for you. Hopefully we'll be out at the track again this weekend. We just need a few more people to show up this time.

I mowed a big area in my yard/field last night to see if I could fit a good size track in. I thought it was about the size of yours ,but I walk around the out side and it was only about 300 foot, are you sure the out side is in the 400's?
Two years ago I took a measuring wheel out and measured the very inside of the track and it was just a few feet shy of 300'. No one rides that line. I should have measured the very outside but didn't. I'll take it back out this weekend and do a little more measuring.

That would be great, thanks. Just want some idea of what gearing to have before I get there and you guys school me. Tire set up is easier then changing gearing,I don't want to be working on it all day.

We didn't race last weekend so I wasn't able to get the measurements of the track. We did go out for a while this evening. 1upfront even showed up with his true 74cc Honda powered 70 to show us that he hasn't forgotten how to race. I'm transferring videos from my camera to the laptop, then I have to edit and upload to youtube. Hopefully I'll have all of the info that you need and more. My Girlfriend got some pictures again too. I'll start putting stuff up as soon as I get things sorted out.

Ok, I measured the track today and this is what I came up with.

The very inside diameter of the track was 215' and the outside was 320'.
I have the dimensions scribbled on a piece of paper that I can scan if needed. This is what I got from that, infield is 82' long by 35' wide. The outside of the track is 125' long by 65' wide. One end is a little narrower than the other.

I had a pretty good eye then with my outside being 300'.

After I measured that track I remembered that it was the other track in town that was bigger. It's a tri-oval of sorts. The back stretch doesn't really have a true straight away. It's sort of a D shaped track that is longer and faster than this one. It's better suited for the bigger engines, more room to open them up.

Here is the 1st video. Notice the guy in the red shirt. It's my son, Hartley. He's "1upfront" on the boards. He's running a true Honda engine. It has a ct70 head and piston and a
Web cam a VM20 Mikuni with a Cobra pipe. He was giving everyone with their big cc engines a run for their money. It's good to see him racing again. He still has it.

Here's another video. Hartley and I were really dueling on this one. It was a lot of fun racing with him again. We were pretty well matched. His is close to 75cc and mine is a 108cc and I weigh about 40 pounds more than him. At times there were two different races going on at the same time. It's even more fun with six or seven riders out there.

I had a great time sunday , that's the first time in a while I have had the 160 out , I think its needs some adjustments, but it ran ok for sitting for 6 months waiting on some sun, I talked to Rex today and he has his dug out , I think he wants in the action, I junked the rings on the 146 Friday night at the other track so it may be a while till its up and going again, anyway its good to see the gang getting them out and making laps, now if we can just get a few more to start showing up
