I am curious, are there any rules for running a 2 stroke? Displacement limits?

As always- Everything I post is IMHO.
That sounds interesting. I haven't heard anything from the guys down here yet this year. It's still a little early. I'll keep you posted. We have one big race at the end of the year. it's the only one that's planned out very far in the future. Most of the time I get a phone call from one of the guys asking if I want to go out and thrash on the 70's and we go from there. How big is your track up there? Our are about 300ft around the middle of the track. Pretty small, but very fun.

As far as I know, displacement limits went out the door several years ago. We just do this for fun anyway. If you come out and do a few laps on the track.......you Win!!!
As far as 2strokes go, my son put a pw80 on his a few years ago. It is no where close to stock. I rode it a few times and it's a hand full. I'm not used to 2strokes so maybe it was just me. You pin the throttle coming out of the corner and it responds much like a 125 or 140 until it hits the powerband and then it feels like someone else pushed the nitrous button, without warning. My son, 1upfront, here on the forum is like Mr 2stroke, he loves those things and is very savvy at controlling them. Actually I think he just likes the feeling of being out of control. I think the only real rule is that it had to start out life as a 70.

Thank You, I will probably never build a 70 again, been there done that many times, plus you are way to far from me to go racing.
I am a 2 stroke guy too, always have been. I was just bench racing in my head on what engine I would use...Suzuki RM85 with mods for low end...LOL

I actually live 3 miles from risingsun. The track is medium size ill have to measure it. The engine size dont matter we just wanna get a bunch together for messing around
