    weak spark

so my 84 200s was running great! Now...I go out to start it and it was a pita to start. I got it going and ran it around for a bit and it just didn't have the power. so I checked the spark and it was a weak yellow spark. I have read in other post the primary stator coils are know to go in the 200's, I have my multimeter but of course it's raining like crazy here today. anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Nah the 200s has a stator. Points went out in '80 or so.

    weak spark

i know it sounds stupid, but change the plug out.then after that get your multimeter out and go backwards through the electrical system.componet by componet.there is a e manual on here for that get the specs and go to town.should take about 10-15 mins to go through the whole system.dont cut corners by hitting this and swapping that, just my two cents

ok I put a new plug in and tested the plug poot and primary and secondary wire and the read good but I'm having problems with getting readings from the cdi box...maybe I'm not doing something right or it's bad? it runs but just doesn't seem to have full power and I pulled the new plug out after a few minutes of riding and the plug is really black. sorry fella's I forgot I had this thread going and posted another thread about it last night...my mistake.
