i hate to tell you bud, fiberglass like any type of body fill, use rough surfaces to cling, if its cracked with holes for ties its probably pretty beat up, it will stick, if hes not sure and he thinks the plastic feels a little smooth he can take a strong wire brush and make it nice and rough.. it will work.. i have stuck fiberglass to TONS of surfaces. and to make it look nice, its just making your final layer thicker in the glass and not the fiber so you can sand it smooth, its really not that bad, its not going to look better then a new set from honda if you could get them... but its going to look great either way.
I have decoded not to go with fiber glass and thanks for the link i didnt know you could polish plastic. When painting the engine do i need any special spray paint besides high heat?My plan is to strip it down and repaint every thing and polish the new plastics. Also can i some how put suspension on it?
Sorry for all the questions i just want to now what im doing before i start.
I will post pics of my trike at the current condition tommorow i think.
well you can paint the engine but it will eventually over time wear off the best stuff ive herd of it BBQ grill pait being it can withstand 1200 or 12000 deg or something like that and you can also use that on the exhaust and muffler...

if you blast the engine and then use the engine paint they sell at the auto store and paint it WITHOUT touching it before hand it will last like a factory finish, my fiance's blaster motor had lasted nearly 4 years like that and still looked new when I sold it.
That looks like a very good DEAL .... Buy it for sure !
Good choice on the new (used) plastics. It would've looked butchered any other way.

if dont have blaster could i sand it and then paint it ,do i need primer?
yea just degrease it good with some purple cleaner and some bristle brushes and let it dry really good (make sure all intake/exhuast is all taped up) once dry use a dry sctoch brite to scuff up the smooth surfaces blow everything off and start spraying! let it cure out for a day before really handling it and it will last a good long time! oh no primer needed for the engine enamael
Can i use high heat paint in-place of the special engine acrylic?
Do i have to prime the frame and the other parts that dont get hot?
Can someone post some pictures of painted engines?
dont use high heat on a engine not only does it look ugly it wont get up to cure becouse the motor wont get that hot.
as for the frame, if you clean and sand the frame well you dont need to prime, but if its got alot of rust etc etc... prime those areas before paint.
The pull cord on my atc broke can someone tell me how to replace it?
Never mind i figured it out.
