do a search there is alot of info on this. I think its the 83-84 that is easy to swap and the 350x and 250r have different stops that would have to be built?

Not sure if you can still get them but Terry Cable used to make a Terry Kit for the stock forks. It had new damping tubes which changed the valving and added travel. But what people used to race with was 83/84 250R forks with bored 200x triples. 33mm diameter vs 35mm and more travel with better damping. That was then of course and surely something else works as good or better now.

the 85-86 250R forks would be to tall for the 200x and would handle bad in my opinion, the 350X forks mightbe a better canidate but still a bit on the tall side. I would think
