    pics of my 84 t3

Well, I finally got around to getting pics up, thanx to Honda's_better for some help. I bought this trike last Saturday night. As you can see, it needs a LOT of work. The engine runs I know, because I sprayed starting fluid in, and it started on the first kick. It needs a carb, shifter, and clutch to run. The berrings were shot in the rear end, and some parts were welded together, but I finally got most of them off. Since the pic, I have taken out the engine, and re-painted the frame, as well at the swingarm. I bought new bearings yesterday, and also put those into the carrier. It's comeing along slowly but surely. Well, I hope you enjoy the pics. Let me know what you guys think. Thanx.

Here is one of the engine. Look at that pipe. o It looks really bad, I know. Those are actually wires holding the pipe on in the back. I have no idea what that pipe is off of. I know the seat is off a ks125 kawasaki dirtbike, because I found a little brochure under the seat pan. LOL. Well, enjoy. )

Your guess is as good as mine Jeb. LOL. It does sound pretty cool tho. I took it off, and am going to buy a stock pipe for it. As far as the seat goes, It latches right on. I hope the guy didnt weld brackets to the frame. How does the stock plastic/seat go on? The previous owner actually tried to weld re-bar to the back of the frame as well. Must have been trying to make a grab bar huh? lol

The rear plastic bolts on in 4 places under the seat. Then the seat has a latch that fits down through 2 slots in the plastic and latches to the frame. It's better than the 86 I think because the 86 seat bolts to the plastic and then the seat/fender together bolt to the frame. At the same time though it sux because the seat can come off in a wreck, sometimes even from riding hard, and you have to remove the rear plastic to get the cover off the airbox to get to the air filter.

If that seat thats on it has a latch, it may be working with the stock frame. If it bolts on, he has "customized" it.

Speaking of the frame, it may just be an illusion from the wrong seat being on the trike, but it looks like it's missing some of the rear frame work. It should come out from under the seat and make a 90 degree curve and each side is welded together. Then there is mounts for the tail light, grab bar, and rear fender support.

Another thing if the rear frame has been chopped off is that it might be missing the muffler mounts.

Anyway here's a pic of a healthy frame. look under the fenders and you can see the tail light & grab bar mountings (that's my stock 86 grab-bar) Also, that's my seat for sale and rims & tires!

Thanx for the info again jeb. ) Yeah, I think it is missing part of the frame in back. The latches must be the right ones tho, because there are two of them that latch on, as you mentioned. I'm going to have to weld extra mounts or supports on there then, if I want everything to bolt on properly. ? Man, I just keep finding out more and more problems with this thing..

I would almost sell my frame. But I think I'll hang on to it. I may get the notion to go frame up on another one someday. You can probably find one close to you and won't have to mess with shipping. The more I look at old pics of my 84, the more I HATE that I parted off all those nice parts I had.

Another thing I see your is missing that you might want to round up is the head stay. It bolts to the frame backbone and the boss on the back of the cylinder head.
