    ATC70 carb adjustment

How many turns out does the gas screw go for a decent running engine on a 1085 ATC70? I have it at 1.5 turns, but it will run for about 4 minutes then it runs out of gas, and if I let it sit, it will fire up and go again for another 4-5 minutes. Any takers?

Could it be that the tank isn't venting? One and a half turns seems about right.

Well, I figured it out. Bobr was right, it was not benting propperly. I did end up adjusting the screw a little more, but it was mostly the on/off switch on top of the fuel fill cap. I had no idea that the "on" and "off" meant for airflow. For those of you who didn't know, the "off" position should actually form a vapor lock in the tank, and the "on" position should allow sufficient air to enter the tank. I may have just reinvented the wheel. I was really happy to figure it out, because this thing is really running great, and the spark plug is perfect.

I even got my wife to ride it around for a few laps around the house. Her first time on any motorized fun machine. She is hooked. However, she is not very happy at how I ride the little guy around, what with laying off the side to corner correctly, and bump-jumping it on the edge of the asphalt at the street. I'm such a kid.

    Anyone want to race? :-P

Hey dude, I plan on bouncing back. I have a dune buggy, my ATC 70, and a Honda 350Four motorcycle keeping me company now. I am moving from a low paying university job to a corporation...lets just say I plan on having a nice toy in the near future.
