Yeah and thats why you have no trees to cut. Lazy loggers use harvesters and bunchers. JK. I perfer working hard. I work at the first job of man.

im not a logger but i do a bunch of tree work in association with my lawn care company. Right now the only regular saw i own is an echo CS 370 and it is a great small saw, probably my favorite small saw to date.

My all time favorite saw is the 757 shindiawa. That thing is a horse. Nice and light but tons of power.

I have ran a 440 stihl and was pretty impressed, but i hate all of stihls handhelds. They are trash, but they do build a pretty good saw.

I hate huskys as well, hard starting gutless bastards in my experience.

I come from Family of tree killers. I went logging for 2 months following high school graduation. I quit and went in the ARMY, I wanted something easier than those nasty pines in Eastern Washington.

My dad is out of the active logging scene now, but he plays with the fastest chainsaws in the world. I have a few lifts under my belt, but it isn't for me.

the first link is from pacific raceways a few years back. My dad is the "little guy" with the 8

Sweet! I can't believe your dad made the predator. I seen that awhile back and wondered. Someone has WAYYY to much free time. But now I want one.
Here are my saws and our "new" gear.

All these saws work. And I have "cut" wood with them all except the Mac. That one I might build something out of. I love the look of the old saws.

    Our Timberjack Porter

Our Masive v8 diesle Clark Skidder

And this pos. I hope it never runs again. But looks sweet.

    QUOTE]

My dad didn't build the predator. His buddy by the name of "beer can" bob andrews did. My dad and bob have the fastest time known at .88 seconds on a 30" log. the predator is a very high dollar build (right around 15k) and my dads saws come in 3-4k each. To me the Harley powered saws are way more impressive, but that is my opinion.

Sweet Brapp. My old loggers outfit had a grapple. JD too. Yours have a steering wheel with 8 speed tranny? You log yourself? Im collecting saws. Like trikes but these are usually free. My 440 cost me over 1000$ a few years ago. I want bigger. Id like to get a 24 inch bar on the old girl.

I am not a logger, but I posted a logging video on youtube:

My wife comes from a logging family. I helped saw about 20000 feet of lumber to build our house with.

in my oppinion the old pioneer p 42's were an awesome allaround saw and to this day will abotu out cut any of the modern stihl 044's or ms440's or the husky 372's of the same size. i have 3 of them and they ar eoutdated caus you make 2 trees cut and de limbed and your refillign the fuel lol and thier heaby and try luggign a husky 385 around with a 36 inch bar all day and a gallon og fel and oil all day.
