MMMMMbig saws "Drool" I have walked my fair share of hikes to have carried a large saw. I would not have the heart to cut something that large down. Thats why i am in the maritimes. Nice vid. BIG WOOD!

I wondered when a logging/ wood cutting post would surface. Stihl vs. Husky is about as strong of an argument as Ford and Chevy. Seems like Huskys are bigger in the west, Stihl stronger in the east... who knows.

Personally... I own both, but as for large saws, Husky for sure. I just sold a 272XP on Ebay, and chose to keep my 61 (mostly for felling). Not a huge saw, but decent size and a quick cutter around here.
But... for the small saws I like my Stihls. My firewood saws are a 029 and a 031AV. Also have a couple Homelites an EZ and a 150. Also have a JD (Echo) 55V that I have probably used more than any of them.

Some guys hunt, or ride, because it gets them out in the woods and away from everything. Dont know why, but that is what I get out of cutting wood. Ill try to post up some pics.

You kidding? Huskys are known for being a preferred saw in the west.
I used to watch ax men too, and noticed most were huskys. I did notice that last year, the browning crew was using mostly Stihls though. I dont like that show like I used to, mostly just watch it to see the Pihl crew fight .

I love the STIHL saw I borrow when (always) my McCullough is useless Steel crank in an aluminum housing with a useless chain adjustment.

Stihl or Husky all the way!!

shindaiwa all the way. We have 4 of them:
    488 for the small jobs.
    575
    577
and the 757C for the real mens.
When the time will come to change the 757C, we will probably buy the bigger Husqvarna. More cc and less weight.
