    Carburator Help!

I've posted this on 4 wheel forums and no one will give me an answer so I'm trying the one board where I have never been skunked.

I have a Chinese knock off 4 wheeler that my daughter rides, a Alpha Sports LG50. Has a Mikuni AM3 carb, I think a 16mm. Will not run above an idle. Cannot find any kit online to overhaul. Call Mikuni and their distributors tell me in some cases its not even there carb.

So, I can find a new one from 150 to 350 bucks. POS isnt worth this much.

I can buy individual parts but they add up too.

The bike runs great except for this issue.

    What would you recommend?

    Its a 50cc two stroke.

Thanks all, I'm still doing the restoration onthe ATC 200. Slowly.

Iv seen some Knock off Carbs like that, With passages Not Drilled Completely, Would Pop the exaust pipe off too, Sometimes If they have a Restrictor Welded in the head of the pipe, with little hole, it gets carboned Up shut, and will Cause Similar issues..

rdlsz24: yes and I'll give you the canned answer that i addec treatment to the fuel but I have a boat at the shop now with a crap load of addititves and still carb is trashed.

I this problem in the Spring. It ran fine in my yard, at whatever spead we could get and then when I took it to the field, it ran fine with her on it because she doesn't run full throttle. I got on it and at full throttle it seemed to run the bowl empty then would not start again. I changed the inline mesh filter, took the carb apart and cleaned and reassembled. Ran ok, not great and YES it has sit since then. I hate to continue disassembling it with out a bowl gasket. The air jet screw head is messed up so it needs replacing. I'm going to remove it this weekend.

MTS, what is the point of capping the inlet to the exhaust? I've heard this now twice.
