    Not the 200X.
You can get Chinese OHC engines over here that are a basic copy of the Honda CRF230 engine. Different brands have different bore/stroke combinations. Some have 62.5mm stroke and 63.5 mm bore and the larger cc version has a 65mm stroke and 67mm bore. Roller cams, multi-plate cam chains and heavy duty clutch are standard equipment

bought a rectifier from dennis kirk for 14.00 bucks.than everything will be cool with the lights.the pink wire from the motor makes 15 to 30 volts ac.

go to www.hooperimports.com and checkout their simplest wiring diagram...start from there.

I agree with Goat, the stator shouldn't cook, thats the part that generates the juice and not something that uses it. Thats my thought anyhow.....

I think you may just have something wired wrong.

    lol...very nice DC

I had the same problem with my wiring diagram though when I tried to do it as the manual said to do it... you can't. Ya gotta go to hooper imports, look up their simple diagram, and go from there. Ignore the wire colors and rather focus on their function. I also suggest using a heavier gauge wire than their wiring harness....

The only issues I had with the harness were the parts I didn't make.

I'll confirm - nothing sluggish about the OHV engine. I put one in my 84 X. It smokes my stocker.

Thanks, HarryRedTrike, for the inspiration and information!
