wondering what a good tire is for the front of my 250es

picked up a 85 250es awhile back that still had the original tires on it, they all have good tread still but are really dry-rotted. so i picked up 2 GBC dirt devil 2's for the rear and was hoping to not have to change the front for awhile, but 3 days after i changed the rear tires, the front decided to blowout on the dry-rot so now my question is whats a good tire to put on the front of these 250es big reds for mud/trail riding? i did a search but didnt come up with much, so any suggestions are greatly appreciated..
how do you guys think a mudlite would do on their? what tire do you run on your mud/trail trike?

kenda makes a good front tire, cant remember the name though. It has straight blocks on it and steers way better than others, especially the carlisle.

I would put a 25-27 inch mudlight in there or the carlse 589's or something along those lines, the mudlights are light for the size and tread and should work well same with the 589's

I put kenda pathfinders on my 200es. The tire works well for the front also: not overly wide. The tread pattern is aggressive enough for most things you would use a utility ATV for, but not so aggressive that it makes steering feel heavy. The price isn't too bad either, I think I paid just over $50 each.
    Don't worry...just run watcha brung...

I have mudlites all the way around on mine, they are awesome... I would recommend them hands down...(I know, my side covers off, and the tank is ugly... they are at the painter right now)

Hi, can you tell me what size mudlite you are using on the front? I am wondering if the 25x12-9 will fit. ALso, are you using the AT, XL, or XXL mudlite? Thanks, Kurt

We sell the hell out of the mud lites at work. I can say a knobby would be cheaper, but I've learned they don't steer good, more like slide. The mud lites won't slide, just turn.
