    185s

    I thought the es at the end meant, Electric start, and shaft driven, right? whats the S for at the end of 185s?
    Looking for some smaller style tires like the r's have, just 2 back tires. pm please.

    i have been tryin to find a post or anyting online stating the differince between a 185s and a 185.. i cant find anything yet.
    Looking for some smaller style tires like the r's have, just 2 back tires. pm please.

    The frames are different. Also the 185s had a compression release and I don't think the regular 185 did, but not sure. The rear fenders were different. I think the 185s had higher compression than the 185 and I think originally the cams were different. I think honda later changed or superceded the parts numbers though.

    185s

    lots of difference's between the 185 and 185s.frames,axles,sprockets,body work,wheels,motors top end.the 185s is lighter and more powerfull than the 185.faster and more nimble.the 185 is a friggin tank compared to the 's.the 185 is in the rear the 185s is in front

    i guess that would explain why my 185 frame weights almost as much as my 185s complete bike lol

    185 was only made in '80 (orange paint!) and pretty much became the 81-83 ATC 200. 81-83 185s is a completely different trike.

    i'm sure 's' means sport, i had a 200s and in the brochure they insist that it is stripped down for a reliable play machine, but who wants to play on a hardtail?

    When I had my first trike in the 70s, hardtails were all that there was! Heck, Honda wasn't even making the 110 yet!!!

    ATC185 models became the ATC185S in 81, "S" denoting sports, new tank design, 1 piece rear fender, round headlight replaced with rectangular unit, tail light and rear carry rack revised. Brake drum enclosed within cover plate, minor difference in rear axle.
