I would just block sand it . Get the combo pack of sand paper with 80 grit and i think 120 and go to town on it should be pretty easy by the looks

I've got some of the parts down to bare metal, but the problem is on the fuel tank, the sander has a lot of friction and heats up fast, so the paint starts to melt right off and won't exactly come off

Anyways, today i'm going to attempt to get all of the rust off of my exaust system. Should be a pain in the a**. It's turning all bright orange and stuff so it's starting to degrade the metal. Here's a few pics:

What i've decided to do is just finish all of the small stuff that i've already started to sand (muffler, skid plate and foot pegs) and then put it back together so i can go riding on the 24th.

    $30 for new engine
    $20 Ignition coil

I was an inch from getting it running this morning and was having trouble with the wiring, when i found out, the engine IS NOT a 1985, but an 84. This may not seem like a big difference, but they have totally different electrical systems. So i will need to sell my current wiring harness and buy the correct one. Silly person who sold it to me thought it was from the same trike

yup it did. in fact if it's just a little surface rust, then just pour some gas in it and the gas will eat it.
