Anyone into lowered trucks? Her my current project

Seeing if anyone else is into lowered trucks, I'm currently buliding a 98 ranger reg cab step side.
Moderate lowering with 3 up front and 4 out back, I was considering slammed but I like this especially when i swap the motor, more of a quick street truck then slammed and stanced.
As of now I took the truck to the cab chassis and replaced whatever mechanical parts, ball joints, tie rods, bushing etc etc to put the truck at mechanically new
state. I'm running an 8.8 explorer axle with is larger sway bars. Upgraded breaks as well. I have them emblems shaved as well as the full rear of the truck which has many hours into it. As for wheels and tires i'm running 17's off a 04 stang with 245 245 17 fuzion zri tires
A few guys who've checked it out says its has a "mini" lighting look to it. As of now Im knocking out body work ad assembly for paint, Mechanically its done except the motor swap which will take place over the winter to both stay on budget and be able to use the truck as a lot cruiser for the summer.

I like lowered trucks but not bagged and frame notched lowered though. The stance of your Ranger is perfect in my opinion, now put a mildly built 302 or 351 under the hood and have a truck that can outrun a stock lightning!

Well thats what i'm building. I have a 351 with some mild port and polish work, mild cam and msd ignition. Slowly building it the way i want and when i park it back in the garage for winter ill do the swap then, along with boxing the chassis more beefy crossmembers and other supporting mods.

i like your plans! sounds like you're off to a great start. My sonic blue 03 L is dropped about 2 inches up front and around 1 or 2 inthe rear with drop spindles up front and drop shackles out back. Still holds 500 ft lbs tq to the ground just fine dropped

keep us posted, im new to the ford crowd still and learning to love them

what do you have to mod to get that motor in? new drive shaft? motor mounts? cutting on the firewall for clearance? just curious

Hooker sells a kit comes with motor mounts tranny mounts and headers, with the motor removed and a sledge you adjust the fire wall back 2" for clearance of the distribator cap.

No way would you stuff the Cleveland under the hood of a ranger without an insane amount of effort. Stuffing a moderately built 5.0 into my truck as I speak. EFI baby!

Love the lowered look, but it doesnt work for me. I like to drive over things.....

Love the S-10 above, but the Ranger I'm not so much into the "big rims", just too big for my taste.

Here is my super modded, ultra clean 85 S-15 with an 87 "small block" 2.8L V6 Dog . Trust me.... it looks worse in person than in the photos .
