    Holy crap! I own a 250R!!!!! What a deal!!!

Picked up a 1982 ATC 250R today. Got it at a good price. Got it for 250 bucks! what a deal! . Has flat track racing tires, good front tire, DG head, DG pipe and exhaust, extra set of rear tires mounted on polished mitchel rims. aftermarket handlebars, vintage racing plate, twist throttle, HUGE carb, no idea what its from but its a keihin, I NEED AN INTAKE MANIFOLD (he said he got a kit for it back in the 80s where he got the head, the full exhaust, twist throttle, handlebars, and the carb and the manifold for it???). Has a fox rear clicker shock, gotta get it, have original shock mounted and have the original pipe. I will get the headlight and original stuff when he finds it. Here she is guys! I am so happy! I cant wait to get it going.

The story of it is that, my neighbor, not 2 miles down the road bought it in 1983, he was the second owner, He got all the aftermarket goodies, went to race, first race he wrecked and got a footpeg stabbed into his back. He said screw it. Used it on the farm for the last 30 years chasing cattle. Fast forward to 2 years ago, he went to get it fired up one morning, ran like crap, shut it off, and seen a crack in the intake manifold. fast forward 2 months ago, my other neighbor, which is the nephew of the use to be owner (2nd owner) , knew about that he had a racing 3 wheeler. He knew i liked trikes, so he told me about it, i called him, yep he said hes got an old 250r (i was really happy) Couldnt get it because there was so much snow in front of the shed so we couldnt get it out. fast forward to this last monday, called him up, set up this weekend to get it. Then this morning, called him to make sure it was ok again, came over, talked about some farming stuff. loaded her up and gave him 250 bucks, he was happy, i was happy. Thats where its at right now. He also has a 185s he bought new in 83, never touched it still runs! also has an 83?? 200 big red. So yep.

I love reading stories like this, it's amazing what some people have tucked away in there barn and not know how valuable it is to someone else. Looks like you got a great deal and wish you the best on getting it up and running!

Now go back and get the 200 or the 185 and sell it to me... LOL

Nice find! They are out there, here in MN they are hiding in everything from chicken coups to old barns. Last barn find i got was parked 15+ years ago, it was a time capsule.

lol, you should have guessed, i alrdy asked him if he would sell those, he needs them for his farm. Yes, out of the 3 3 wheelers i have bought locally the 110 was in a milking barn, the 125m was in an old crappy shed, and the 250r was in an old tractor shed.
