Personally I think seven thousand dollars is a bit high without a mention of a VIN or title. Does it come with anything or just a bill of sale?

A bike with 20.4 miles is not new, NOS, or mint. It is used. Also, the speedometer is the only thing guaranteed to have only 20.4 miles on it. That being said, you could still probably make money at that price by parting it out.

Crated, NEW bikes and NOS builds are a completely different game with different prices.

No offense to VMS or this seller, but there are more near new, LOW MILE Big Reds out there than you think. I have recently learned of a particular farm family that has MANY near new Big Reds stored because their insurance dropped them when the ban came about. There's trikes everywhere out there, go get em folks!!

This is one of less than 6000 1987 250ES trikes ever made, unmolested, unrestored, in mint condition. If it does not bring 10k I'd be surprised.

Mint condition does not usually include rust, but if you say so, I guess it is.

6000 to the u.s. or the entire world? I own a particular 2 wheeler that is one of 2500 sent to the u.s. and to be honest there are many power sports models that had limited production runs. 6000 is a pretty high number compared to some models. Also, no paperwork???? I'm not dragging it down just callin it like I see it. If it hits 10k I'll wonder why they didn't spend it elsewhere. Obviously I must be out of touch with the market...

I'm going to agree with your last sentence and this one.....
I'm not dragging you down just calling it like I see it.
I will be shocked like the stud if it does not go over $10,000.

yea just chiming in here , I think Dohcbikes is a little out of touch of the rarity of these bikes . I have been in this game a long time and this is by far the nicest all original big red i have seen ever and you mention rust where is the rust ?? there was more rust and corrosion on the brand new crated 250r from storage that brought 30 plus thousand than anywhere near that on this bike . no disrespect at all its just the 3 wheeler market is an totally different game than any other form of collecting in motorsports . the bike is a legit 20 mile bike i helped locate this bike for my customer years ago from the original owner who was an old timer who simply didnt use it . is there any other new or like new ATCs out there you ask ?? you bet there is I know of or own more than a dozen of them does this take away from the value no why would it we are approaching the 30 year mark from the ban and the 44 year mark from the first US90 so really anything that age that has survived all these years without any damage is a true find . just my 2 cents

Wow! That is a pretty immaculate specimen. Been a while since we seen a machine go north of $10K I think. Will be interesting to continue watching!

Mike has already addressed this concern with some background at this point.

So, if it goes for less than 10k does that mean EVERYBODY is out of touch..... Even 7 thousand dollars is a lot of coin for a used 1987 bike with no title, I don't care how you slice it. 10K would boggle my mind.

Thanks for the background Mike, and here's to hoping I'm the one that's out of touch....

If it goes less than 10k then it is what it is. I have seen astronomical prices on mint ATC's that have sold for those prices. Market drives price.
