83R's : post up some pics of yours!

Im doing my 83R right now, its getting ALOT of work done to it before our thanksgiving ride at little sahara. Im looking for a few new ideas on what to do with some parts on my build up

im powder coating most parts/frame black, i have a carbon fiber look fender coming from mrs moshman and plan to have her re cover my seat, new handle bars, a 300 kit coming from sprock racing, and probably just going to have to go to the local hardware store for all my new shiny nut and bolt needs. Most likely going to have psycolincoln paint my tank and some other parts black for me and I will probably end up with a black set of rear maier plastics but would REALLY prefer a carbon fiber look to match the front fender. I already have an aftermarket pipe and dura blue axle and plan to buy a set of sand paddles and some douglas or itp wheels. Basically I already know what I am planning to do with mine I just want to see what everyone else has done or is planning to do with theirs!

SO lets see some RRRRRRR's!!! Doesn't really have to be just 83's, any year will do so long as its had some TLC and looks purdy

I used a cast iron colered hi-temp paint, it's held up decent so far, but I've got a better pipe that's going on soon.

alright heres my old beaten up trikes, haha

the 83 is the daily rider, its rough but it does the job. and yes that is an XR 200 number plate

the other one is an 84, this is back when I had time to work on projects. thats a CR 480 motor being test fitted into the chassis. Its getting closer, but time school $ work and family have been slowing me down. nice trikes everyone!

Hey thanks man! I spent a lot of time looking for a nice headlight and had trouble finding one, so I figured I would just paint the XR plate to match and it seems to do alright. She definitly wont take any awards for most original or garage queen, haha

I still have found nothing in writing about the use of paddles.most of the new rules like no riding double and noise regulations dont go into effect until july 08.I was out last weekend and saw the real forestry(not rent a cops) he told me that it is suggested to run tires with less than 1in tread, but not a rule yet.The noose is getting tighter, but I will not give up my tires without a fight. I plan to be out there this weekend with my paddles on.

I like the 350x head light, Im really having trouble deciding what to use on my bike right now. I dont really care for the stock head light but Ido know that I want a light on the bike for the night riding we will be doing out at the dunes in oklahoma for the thanksgiving ride.

nice bikes everyone! I need to get mine started with powdercoating and chroming but cant get the damn swinger bolt out!
