    **UPDATED** Score!!!!!!!!! $75

Well, I think... $75 I dont even know what year it is but it has perfect plastics other than the fading. The motor (200) seems to have good compression and she's getting spark. I think I will be needing some new rubbers and a new pull rope. I will be cleaning it up and selling it to make some cash to put towards a 250r down the road. I may have to put some test miles on it. I do have one tech question though. If the rope broke, can i re-wrap the rope andhave it work?

    __UPDATE__ SHE'S A KEEPER!!
Well the $75 beast lives... I was able to wrap the pull rope around the flywheel a quick clean up on the carb a couple pulls later we had ignition! She sounds real nice, purrs like a kitten. I am going to get some parts and start a massive cleap up effort on this baby.

Yes, you can replace just the rope in the recoil, and it will work great. The only thing you have to do after you get the new rope in and wound around the spool is pre-load the spring. You do this by turning the spool clockwise 2 to 3 revolutions, then tie the rubber handle on the end of the rope after it is through the hole in the recoil case. Make sure to spray some wd 40 on all the parts in there, it looks like it needs it.

I might be looking for a recoil starter for this, I tried to wind it and there is no spring tension. I am going to disect it but I fear I may have a broken spring. bummer about the tires and started, I cant even try to pull start it.

That must be one of those fancy tire deflation systems for a wider footprint when off road???? I think you should charge extra for that rare feature!
No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!

That's what I thought too. I've never seen tires that bad before. Those are going to suck to get off the wheels I bet. A little elbow grease on the plastics and a new seat cover will make a world of difference on that thing.

Nope, bever tried. I notice that if you spin it one way the tooth comes out to engage the engine so I assume you wanna wind it the other way. Either way I turn the pulley, she will turn and turn and turn and never builds any tension. Am I missing something or do you think it is broken?

No, there's a catch on the inside of the pulley- sometimes it takes some jiggling to get the pulley to slip down far enough to atch. Once it does, wind it 6-7 times or so, so that it'll pull the rope snugly in.
