This thread is kind of tricky. I have Tigers and some crazy aftermarket frames and kits. All are quite fun in their own ways. But if I only had one and it had to do everything, well just for a production trike, I would have to say the good ole 350x. I've never really rode a TPC or anything like that, but for pretty much a go slow or go fairly fast and is good on trails and all around, it's really hard to beat a 350x. I know, 250r's are faster, and the Tigers are faster still, but the tigers are more for flat tracking. The 250r's just don't work on trails for me as much. And the 350x just has a way better overall power, low speed or up high. But I have a custom 350x project in the works, so that might be my favorite, or the major injury of me! LOL

I agree with Vealmonkey. The Honda 350x is the all around best stock production trike ever made, and I just got one for $100.00! Needs some work but it runs well. I'll start a build thread as soon as all decisions are made.
85 Honda 200x, rider build almost complete, need aftermarket rear shock.
85 Honda 250es, with some work to do.

I hear ya on the engine. A new KTM 300xc engine would be absolutely amazing in a 3wheeler. Modern chassis of course, with all of that smooth low end power ripping through to a 51 H.P. peak would be so sweet. Adjustable ignition, and exhaust timing too. I think the xcw is a 6speed......xc 5speed. The new generation 300's are considered by many to be the best all around engines in off road motorcycling to date. On to the question at hand though.... One single favorite trike from back in the 80's, impossible to pick one. I have many in a wide variety of forms, size, and color. No one machine can successfully do everything well.

I agree.. too many types of fun to pick just one... rather its bouncing around your backyard on a hardtail... packing a deer home on a utility... or pulling a sick powerwheelie down the backside of a dune on a 2-smoke... i know i could never limit myself to just one

    Wish List

At one time I certainly would have said, "the top machine on my wish list would be a ATC250R".

I had 2 in the past and they were all they were supposed to be. Great Machine.

But now that I am a little older and my riding style is different; I would put the 350X at the top of my wish list.

Well since the question is if I could "have" one trike I would take my neighbor's Tri-Z, because it needs to be rescued, and I have yet to ride a 2 stroke, sport trike, and that trike is in my sights, it will be my next trike purchase.

And since no one let me "have" my other trikes, I had to pay good money for them, they don't count right?

But if I could only have on production trike I would really have to ride them to know for sure. It would come down to the 350X and 250SX, but if I could have an ultra modified suspension on the 250SX that would be my choice.
