Tire reversal on front

Can anyone tell me why most people turn a mud tire on front backwards , does it make a difference on the steering ??

Simple answer: less rolling resistance, rolls forward easier. Longer answer: rolling resistance and the forces of shear force of terrain vs the direction of tread and pushing of forces on said terrain. Simple analogy, look at tractor tires and the direction of the v bar treads, then compare to an implement such as a sprayer or grain cart and how if equipped with a v bar tread design, is flipped backward.

When I worked at the local Goodyear, I was fixing and putting new tires on all sorts of different farm equipment. The co-op in the town I work in now always had me put their sprayer tires on backwards. They said the tires got better tread life that way. Since they're the only ones who said that, I have my doubts, but there might be something to it.
