Why can't I just leave them alone........another full build

I'm not sure if you guys remember the cherry 200X dougpcs picked up in Mi. but We bought it off him this past fall as a trike for my wife (shannonw). It was a really clean example of an 85 with a bad set of kicker gears as it's only fault. A perfect starter trike for here to ride (not new to ATV's as she has a Z400). If any you remember my R builds (with one still in progress) or either Tecate builds I think you can understand how

    this small little fix

    can turn into this

It's now into full tear down, rebuild stage, and starting to come back together. It'll have a set of new kicker gears and spring (came with it), a 6spd xr200 transmission, Fresh piston and rings, all new cables, bearings where needed, 250R front fender, Maier rears (keep all the OEM plastics safe), probably run some 20x9 "R" Dunlops on the rear and a new front max front.

Engine bottom end is going back together this weekend

Tonight we picked up the "wow factor" all freshly re-plated hardware, Man I love how this stuff looks when done.

Unfortunately I always seem to forget to take before pics, maybe Doug will post a couple that he has as my before's.

I'll throw some more pics up as the build continues, some winter inspiration.

So your adding a 6 speed XR200 tranny? That's awsome, never heard of anyone doing that to a 1st gen 200X but I am sure it has been done. That extra gear makes a difference and that tranny should add some speed I'm sure, looking forward to see the bike all finished.
