New OEM 86 Kawasaki Tecate Rear Fender

Are these still available for purchase through the factory? I have the opportunity to buy one not too far from me, but wasn't for sure what they are worth. It has a complete set of decals on it as well. I would just re-sell to make a few $$, but want to make sure I pick it up for the right price.

$385 tops on eBay right now.

    I'd say $220 for Maier.

Hold the phone here. Are the decals oem or replicas put on. The are approximately 2 NOS rear fenders in the world (As they were on the trike brand new, all decals installed) If it is an NOS fender, it's worth a lot more than the oem replacements

I'll have to ask, I'm not sure how one could verify they are OEM decals even if he claims they are. Question- How could it be a NOS fender if they still have OEM replacements? I'm just not up to snuff on any of the Tecate parts.

Back in the day they came with all the decals along with the grommets for the fender support and a rubber piece under the fenders so the pipe doesn't melt them. I have only seen 2 sets like this and the last set sold for 600.00 while the fenders were still available for 200.00

There are small webs at the rear on each side that are the dead give away of NOS vs OEM replacement. http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthr...61#post1355561 #13

I believe what I have found to be a NOS fender. I've attached pics, but would like someone to verify for me. From what I can tell, it has the ribs underneath on each side.

Not that I'm the judge and jury, but I cannot disagree with your evaluation. Now to find the right buyer probably won't be too difficult.

They will be for sale, I don't have any use for them as I don't own a Tecate. They will be in my hands tomorrow, assuming they look as good in person as they do in the pics.

I'm going to say to take the numbers in the pm's you've probably gotten already and double the lowest one. In case you didn't get my pm I offered you $75
