    Lifted 3Wheeler anybody?

I'm wanting to build a lifted big red, does anyone here have any pics or info on a lifted 3wheeler with bigger tires? I'm wanting to do about a 6" lift with 29.5 outlaw tires. I've been searching the internet and cant find a single pic of one or even someone who has done it. thanks in advance.

what part of Texas are you in?

4 or 5 years ago i lifted a 200m to use out at crosby. It was a mistake. The best three wheeler i have found for crosby type mudding is a 250sx with aggressive tires and a snorkel. Works great.

yeah i ride at crosby, I know it won't be the ideal mudding machine. I just want to do it cuz nobody has one and it would be a fun challenge to get around on.. I'm thinking 29.5x12's all around. I want a 250 BR but might do the 200s because i think its chain drive? and would be easier to lift and gear down.

Do you have any pics of the one you lifted? Thanks

I dont have any pics. if you do this, every time you go through a mudhole you will fall over. Also when you go through the deep water, the three wheeler will not water wheelie like the four wheeler. big lake will kill you. The front end will come up at 90 degrees at one mile an hour. I would keep it stock height for sure. the sx was the best ride out there. also, you are going to burn out your clutch with the outlaws.

there use to be a bunch of three wheelers running around out there. I loved taking the 250r through all the sand trails and submerging the SX. but for mudding out there, you cannot beat a big o Cat.

things you would have a problem doing to lift it.

you lift the rear supension due to the arc of the swinger a set of 29's would be rubbing your footpeg and make the wheelbase length unreasonably short.. so a custom swinger and drive shaft would have to be fabbed probably a +4-6 to take the hight of the rear tires.

the front would be easier as you could extend the upper forks to hold the legs down lower.

also power... yea the 250 motor will turn the tires over... but not really much more, ive seen 300cc size quads with 28 get stuck in nothing due to the fact they didnt have enough power to keep the tires going with the mud stuck to them.

I know 27s fit and look good I had a set of 589's on 12 inch rims on the 250es I had for a short time...sorry no pics

Well as far as the swingarm and all, i'm willing to do the mods for that to work. power is one reason i'm considering the chain drive 200m. I can throw a huge sprocket on it to up the low end.

As far as the water riding i would definetly have water in the tires to keep it from floating too much. Ive got 4wheelers for trail riding I just want to build this to have somethin cool to cruz the hardpack on and hit a little water with.

Oh and i do have pics of the 90 but my pc crashed and i only have them on my IPOD, dont know how to get them back on my pc. Plus i sold and can't take any more pics.

He is wanting to put 29.5's with huge lugs and weight 50 lbs a piece. It will be difficult to accomplish this for something that will give undesirable results. I do like the SX on the youtube.

He will have alot better luck with the 25's
