    225 dx carb questions

I posted a while back that I picked one of these up and yes I wil post pictures when I get them. I tried to start it today and it would not start. First problem is that the starter did not work when I pushed the button, but it I hook up a charger to the starter itself, it turns the starter fine. Is there some sort of fuse somewhere? Second, I took the carb off and wow! Dirty! So I cleaned it, blew the jets out and have put it back together. Someone on here provided me with a copy of a clymer manual (thank-you) and it says the pilot jet should be 1 1/2 turns out from fully seated, but I've read other places 2 1/2. Any help with a good starting point would be great, or the correct setting. Are there any issues with these carbs I need to know about? Or are they pretty much set and go.

    Thank-you

Yes there is a 10 amp inline fuse, follow the red wire from the battery.

1 1/2 turns on the DX should be in the ball park, start there and and adjust as needed.
