Hey,Just want to see who has the specifics on converting an atc 90 to manual clutch.Or rather what needs to be changed internally to install it.I already know it will need cover and all the clutch internals. But is the crank the same? Also what are the differences in the gear ratios of other honda 90 motors that were put into bikes?

Hey bandito I just did one of these on the last thread I started . The atc90 shifter shaft is different also so you will have to shorten the length of the atc90 one so it will fit the manual clutch cover . Yes the crank is the same on the clutch side for sure and bolts right on .

I think it would be easier to just get a cheap lifan manual and bolt it in there.

Lifan is not a "bolt up" for an ATC90, it can be made to fit but it is based on the Z50/ATC70 motor which is not the same as a ATC90

The parts I have found to work the best for me are the 1969 honda SL90 manual clutch set up . With a little mechanical ability its not that hard and bolts right up to the atc90/110

hey Timmy we just have to bring my engine down from the atc90 i got at the truck show. we could rip it apart to see what needs switched. it has a manual clutch stuff like Shortline's.

i almost got my Bandito frame atc 90/110 together.

Jason that would be cool.If it's just a parts swap with a little modification here and there it should be easy.Anybody know if there are heavier springs for these?

I used the Versha HD clutch spring kit from the auto atc90 on my manual set up . Their about a 1/4 inch longer and much stronger .

When we have guys like Vealmonkey, Blue, Shortline and Banditio - LIFAN is NOT the easy or correct solution :D

Thank god for you old school guys :beer

I'm trying to keep it period correct as much as possible. The after market parts are more plentiful for the z50 based motors,But I've always liked the 90/110's
