Trans Missing gears when shifting

I got a 125m, all the gears work. But when shifting it, it likes to go to neutral between gears like 1 neutral, 2 neutral and so on. But the neutral light doesn't come on so I'm thinking its just getting stuck in between gears. Is there a worn part that would cause this?

Mine does the same thing. The shifter also seems to be very sloppy on mine. I think the two problems are related. Here is the reply I got when I asked about it over in the ATC70 section of www.glamisdunes.com:


It could be one of the following. One of the little pins in the shift drum is broken, the shift lever inside the motor has a bent or broken spring or bent or broken claw. Either way you will have to take the clutch cover off, clutch and trans gear too. This will give access to the shift drum and and all the mechanism that moves it.

I noticed that with mine, it will go into gear almost every time as long as I push the shifter all the way. However, all the way on it is a REALLY long way. I've yet to dig into it.
