Download the service manual from here: http://www.oscarmayer.net/atc/manuals/honda/82-83_200e_bigred.pdf

It will walk you through how to do it

you have to pull the pull start cover, starter cup, flywheel bolt use impact gun it will make your life easier then the side cover. Then if memory serves me you have to remove flywheel which will require the puller, and gears then the cover behind the flywheel. Its actually pretty involved and a pain right in the trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro if you ask me.

NOOOOOOOO....thanks Rod that was what i was afraid of.unfortunatly im not a mechanic it sounds like thats what i need.I might be able to do it myself but the pulley would be a pain to find im assuming.ah what to do what to do.......I should mention i do have an 82 big red as well but its motor burns a little oil and the plastic is shot, tank has holes, and has no key ect u get the picture.damn i really dont know what to do i sure cant afford to pay someone.hmmmm any suggestions guys?

als as a side note by gears do you mean i will have to pull the hi low anyway?and why the f did they have to make it soo complicated when its a wear and tear part?

The subtranny complicates the front sprocket. The 110 and 125 are the same way

ughh mabey I dont even need to change it.The problem is its sounds like its slipping when going up a steep hill in 1st.I tightened the chain but itwouldnt fit on the back sprocket right it wasnt rolling smoothly in nuetral.im probably fked.
