ive read a few forums about this, but cant post a reply yet. the 1986 200x im wantin to trade my truck for doesnt have brakes whatsoever. whatre the steps you take to put the CR85 caliper on? do the cables from the stock caliper hook right up to it? what year(s) CR85 calipers should i try to find? thanks for any help you may have

Well, I'm not sure what the 86 200x had originally for a rear caliper but, if it's like the 1st gen 200x and 350x, any CR80 - CR85 front caliper will bolt on.
You lose the parking brake when using the CR caliper.
The brake line bolts up in the same place.
You need the ATC caliper mounting brackets and stays. One of my 84 200x has the CR caliper and I also have one for my 350x when it gets put back together.
I bookmarked it ;)
