$300 for this 85 YTM 225DX. Carb was in bad shape, but with some soaking overnight and thorough cleaning, it's a runner. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160724/521337fbc67045eb05de04065fc6ffbf.jpg

I paid 800 for my 84 tecate, it had new rear plastics, new rear tires. The guy told me the engine was recently rebuilt but it ate the piston after the third ride. After 2300 dollars and some of my time it runs great. Paid 200 dollars for my 85 200x at a yard sale. 240 dollars for another 85 200x from a lawnmower shop. New air filters and carb cleanings they both run strong.

Time to see if i can remember it all.. I'll start in the order i recall getting them! I've added the cost in parts to make it driveable next to them.
1983 KLT200c - free, dad got it
1983 YT175 - $200+150, needed a pull start, engine bottom end was toast apparently, needed a new crank, bought an engine for $150.
1985 Honda 200m - $40; Traded a vw beetle roller for it. Traded a computer for the beetle. Had $40 in the computer.
1975 ATC90 - $50 - needed a valve seal - torn down in pieces atm, needs assembled (new valves, bigger cam, and parts)
1980 Yt125 - Dad picked it up for $75 needed a flywheel seal and an air screw in the carb.
1984 Tecate - $250+$250, needed flywheel, stator, intake, and a new seal on the flywheel side
1983 YT175 - $40, needed a std piston. I had a spare from old engine :-D
1985 Tecate - traded a Ninja 250 parts bike(no title) and $250 for it. Havn't repaired it, doesn't have spark. and needs clutches.
1985 YTM200 - $100, need to clean the carb and tank out. Needs an air filter/box.

I bought a 1983 atc 200 for $180, the guy I bought it from said I'd have to cut up the wiring to hook up the 1985 atc 200 ignition module up to it that he bought, because he thought the ignition module in it was bad, and he also thought it was an 85, but I just cleaned the carburetor and put a new spark plug in it and it started right up, didn't have to mess with the ignition module at all, ended up only putting $400 in it and it looked great. I also bought a 1985 Big Red for $100 all I had to do to get it running is clean the carburetor and get an ignition coil, it was in rough shape though, and I ended up having about $750 in it, but it looks great now, and has lots of brand new parts.249091249092

I paid $1000 for my 82 250R, in December of 83. The guy I bought it from had a brand new 83 200x sitting next to it in his garage.

I got my current jem on a trade...a ugly not running honda 250 fourtrax that i picked up at a auction for $150. Put it on CL trade for shotgun. And this guy responded automatically with a 82 200e that he claimed starts first pull. So i met up liked what i saw. Started to load it in my el Camino.... Then my pants go rip... I put on my truck swimming shorts and started home. Got all the way home and my atc seat is gone flew off on the highway. So i got a fair trade. Lol

I picked up my 86 Tecate for $200. It was a roller that someone had installed a KX500 engine in and it, the engine, was thrashed. It had recently replaced, new old stock front and rear fenders with no cracks and will be 100% again with some minor sanding and buffing to remove a few scratches. The main reason I drove 4 hours each way to get it was due to the fenders. If it had no plastic or old cracked and sun beaten fenders, I might not have made the drive. Who am I kidding, for a second gen Tecate rolling chassis, I still would have gone to get it for that price but the fenders were a giant cherry on top.

Mine has been in my family since around '79. My dad built it for my mom. Late '70's ATC 90 with 140-150cc engine. I pulled it out of a trash pile at his house in around 2005 and am just now getting going on this project. Popped my own fiberglass seat pan, picked up a chrome Bandito frame and chrome forks from a member on here and am currently looking for someone to custom paint or wrap my fenders and tank. Will post some photos when I have something worth showing.

I just got back into 3 wheelers after a 25 year hiatus. I bought a '82 200E big red that needs a few little things but is perfectly serviceable. It came with two parts bikes: An '83 ATC 200 that is 95% complete. I am rebuilding it now. And another 200 big red that's less than half there. Two large bins full of parts, extra (cracked up) fenders and a couple of tanks. I hope to get two rock solid 3 wheelers for me and woman to ride and enjoy.
I paid $800 for all of it. I thought it was a steal. The guy just wanted the garage space.

Probably too much, 85.5 Tri-Z 250 $1900. It ran but has tons of little irritating things going on but when you want a two year machine in a specific color you pay.

My cousin has a 83 200x. Good little machine overall but needs some TLC. He has a love hate relationship with it because he's used to the power of ported Blasters with good pipes and stuff that I've built for him and the little X just don't have the balls. He's been offered $1200 for it, what do you guys think?

Around here, thats a pretty good offer for a stock 200X that needs a few things. I think they are 12-14hp in stock form so yeah he's probably not gonna be happy.
Put a ported Blaster motor in the 200X chassis and I bet he'll be happy then. Somebody here put one in a 250R chassis.

84' 200S, ran well, looked good $400
85' 200S, excellent condition, came with a parts 84' 200S. $200 + a utility trailer.
85' 250SX, excellent condition, $900
84' 200X, rough shape, not running, gas tank garbage $250. Got it going with new spark plug and carb and used tank. I might have $500 into it now.
All were in the last 3 or 4 years. Sold off the 1st one for $600. Thought I had too many three wheelers. I've noticed a bit of a price jump on three wheelers in the past year here.

Just picked up an 84 ATC125M last night for $60. Complete less the front fender. Engine seized. Little bit of lube and a ratchet and engine came free. Little bit of rust in the cylinder at almost TDC. Little bit of encouragement and it ran.
