do you think the adjustable timing advance plate will wake up my 85 atc 250r? will it give me more topend or bottomend? also do you think it would give me a little bit more speed? will it rev faster? and how do you adjust it, like how much per each side? please help thankyou here is the link http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-ATC-TRX-250R-250-R-Billet-Timing-Advancer-/320744687320?_trksid=p4340.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222001%26algo%3DSIC.CURRENT%26ao%3 D1%26asc%3D11%26meid%3D2191754730500510248%26pid%3 D100011%26prg%3D1005%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D220710959247% 26

depends on which way you adjust it advancing will fire sooner before the piston hits tdc resulting in a more complete burn you may gain some power but not much. retarding it will make you lose power the only time you would do this is when running a big bore or possibly a very high compression. i had one of these on my 310 with a pump gas dome and tried it in -2, neutral and +2 and i didnt notice any difference.
