Honda Service Bulletins Through January 1987

I scored a collection of Honda Service Bulletins on e-bay. The binder appears pretty complete, and includes service bulletins through January of 1987.
(ignore the print on the cover... their bulletin binder must have gotten wrecked, so the put them in this one...)

I know some bulletins have been talked about and posted here and there, but I think I have a pretty complete collection here. My thoughts are that I'd like to scan all the ATC related ones and get them to the guys who are running the service manual download sites... that is unless somebody has already done this. In my searches, I've not seen one place with all of them.

Also, I figured I'd post the Index (9 pages) so that you guys can browse through the list and see if there is anything you'd like to see scanned first. Ultimately, I can scan all of the ATC ones (don't feel like doing the whole book... it is way too thick) but I can focus on the ones that may have the most interest for the group.

I've been to a few of the download sites for Service Manuals, but I honestly am not sure who runs them, so if you know (or you are THE person) please let me know if you want my scans.

I think my plan will be to make a post in this thread with the bulletins in case people search 3wheelerworld, and then I'll also give you the PDF's (or whatever format seems to work best) to upload to your site.

I was reading through the binder last night and there is some really neat information. Nothing earth shattering, but even the general bulletins not related to ATC's have good info. There is one about general CDI troubleshooting and about frame welding. It thought all the documents about frame welding were interesting because they talk about several models specifically, except for the 350x. In all my reading around the net, the 350x is probably the most common frame that I've heard of cracking, yet Honda doesn't seem to address it... at least as of January 1987 anyway.

So everyone: stay tuned. I'll start scanning this weekend! kb0nly, we'll be in touch...

Please scan ATC 110 difficult shifting.

My ATC 110 transmission has a lot of false neutral positions.

Others have related their experience with broken shift drum stoppers.

I want to see Honda's recommended fix.

This Is way Cool. I have learned a bunch already. Broken Crankshaft on 250ES caused from over reving and if the crank was replaced then it should have a punch mark in the lower right corner where the engine # is embossed.

My feelings exactly.
Kinda scared to read it however.
My life revolves around the 250 es models.
so? just overrevving?

I've seen that happen with people who 'know how to ride' and think that the 'automatic transmission' will shift itself...and wind them to the sky.

I guess if they've made it this long, they'll be ok since we rarely get out of 3rd gear and double or triple idle speed.

Yeah, shift fix for the 125m would be interesting too, well, ALL of it for sure.
