Krylon works good. try to find the undustrial krylon. i used it on my atc200, got some cat yellow off my boss, works great. designed for paintin the big cat engines. great scratch resistance and fast dry time. krylon is the best. hope this helps. p.s., take the plastics off! and use short, quick strokes and a few coats. this works the best and turns out great. peace out, tony.

Go ahead and try the Krylon. But if your looking for better longer lasting results you shoud get some automotive paint with a hardner and a flex agent - the same stuff they paint all the plastic car bumpers with.
Aerosol spray paint simply cannot take the abuse of trees and rocks being shot at it but Auto paint stands up to highway rocks bouncing off of it.

I tried the krylon fusion for $4.00 a can and it said scratch free after one week dries in an hour or something.NOPE!!! I waited one week after painting my front fender black, picked it up and scratched it with my finger and that crap came right off.GARBAGE JUNK ETC!!! So, you should go with the auto flex type paint from what I understand but I have not tried it before.Good luck!!

Auto body plastic bumper action. You need that kind of action. Dudeman has it right about that flex action

So what is this flex agent called? Is it already in the automotive paint?

When you buy your paint and thinner you just get some flex agent with it that mixes with the type of paint your using.
Your gonna have to just walk in to an auto body paint and parts supplier and explain what your trying to do. They will normally mix up just a quart or half gallon for you but colors are more cash.

thanks for all the replies and discussion folks, I think I'm on the right track. called a few auto paint shops and almost all of them told me to come on in they would fix me up. the flex needed is apparently is pretty common to them, car bumpers etc. We'll see. I'll keep you posted what happens.
