That oil is 4 wheeler specific. You need to find an oil that has a three wheeler on the bottle.

Barnett is no longer here. He is the only one with the real opinion on oil.

Seriously though. Did some forum searching here and didn't really find anything specific.

I've always ran Shell Rotella 15w40 in my 4 strokes and I've never had any issues.

I usually run Honda Gn4+ 10w 40 motor oil. or regular motor oil thats what all my manuals say. never had a problem in fact our atc 200 that we have had since brand new has had its first rebuild and everything on the inside looked brand new only problem was the rings were worn out.

The govt recruited him to write the details for the obamacare bill.

I've run nothing but Shell Rotella T in all my horizontal engines for years, and never had an oil related meltdown. The clutches also last longer if you change the Rotella out every other ride, or every ride if you're beating on it all day I found. Sometimes it's a pain, but I haven't had to change the clutch on my china quad yet (100+ hours now!).
I've run Lucas and Maxima in my built up Suzuki DR125s and 200s with no issues either, but the Maxima ran an average of 5 degrees cooler.

That explains the 73 page ZZDP supplemental benefits section.

Basically, it is formulated for our motors and is a reputable brand, so it should be good. The API SG rating is good. This is an older spec from back when there were more anti-wear additives in oil, which our engines benefit from. The newer API ratings (higher letters like SN) remove some of the good stuff from oil that we need, but is bad for modern car's emissions systems.

Do some google searching for ZDDP.

Only thing I have used in mine is Golden Spectro.....cause I like to spend a lot of money on oil.
That's always what we used in the 80s so I just keep with the same brand.
