Hey guys. I took my rear cargo rack off my Big Red 200E to paint it and now im struggling putting it back on. The 2 holes where the rack mounts to the frame itself (the holes directly above where the "arm thing" mounts to the rack) were busted off, somebody re-welded one but the other is gone. I figured I could drill a hole below the busted off part, then just mount the arm and the rack to the frame with 1 longer bolt, essentially doubling up and turning 2 holes into 1. The arm still mounts in about the same spot as before. However, for some reason the rack is not centered at all on the trike now, the left side (where the hole is busted) is right above the fenders, but on the right, which should be the good side, its like 2-3 times higher, and not level at all. the holes in the plastics where they mount to the arm things on the underside don't line up, and I have no idea why. its extremely frustrating. It was on there before and now it wont go on the way it was. Please help, I know my description was sorta confusing, any questions just ask. All help is appreciated.

does your 200e have the fender supports on it because those things make it really hard to get the rack on right. I would just remove them as the rack is bolted to the fenders anyway and is enough to support the fenders heck the 200es didn't even have those fender supports.

It does have the fender supports, are those the metal arm things that connect the fenders and the frame underneath the plastics? That's what I was referring to by the "arm things". The problem is the 2 holes that the rack mounts to right behind the seat are both broke, 1 was welded back on but on the other side its missing. So one should theoretically mount fine, but the other I would have to double up on the 2nd hole on the rack part, and then would have to put a spacer and longer bolt to correct for the hole being lower, and make the plastics be back to the right height. However, right now those aren't even mounted yet, right now its only attached by the 2 clamps on the chrome grab bar in the back and on 1 side of the ones behind the seat. for some reason 1 side is higher than the other. I think im going to take it off again, and start with the ones behind the seat and work my way back, doing the clamps last, since they are the most flexible. I don't know I think im gonna have to get creative with it. This 200E is in near mint condition so I really don't want to screw with it too much but the rack needs to be secure, so it might get interesting. Thanks.

could you put some pics up so we can see how the mount is busted.

Hey, I fixed it. I just took the fender supports off, the bolt still connects the rack and the plastics so it supports them from the top. Its mounted good enough, it wobbles a tiny bit, nobody except me will ever notice it though I don't think. I got it all reassembled, and put my new tires and painted rims on it looks sweet. I'll make a post on here soon with pics of it. Thanks for all your help.

Your welcome I fought and fought and fought with the rack on my 200m which uses the same rear rack and rear fenders among other parts. While I was looking in my clymers Manuel on how to install the rack i saw that the 200es didn't have those arms so I said well heck let me take those dad gum things off and low and behold it mounted right on with ease.
