Honda had given me one of Dean's bikes in 84' to practice on at Powroll, I guess to get my skinny ass built up for the 250cc class. So now since I got the key part to building on the rest should be easy.

What are we looking at? Is that a modified short track tank built back in the day?

Yes, made by the same guy that did the 200x tanks for Honda.

Fly-swatters should be required equipment for every photographer, regardless of novice or professional status.

Beautiful short-track tanks though! Tanks for the pictures.

Yep, I think I have a line on the rear fenders (LOL) so I'm almost there.

I would like to buy a DG head for this project itf anyone has one for sale. Don't really need it, the one I had just had a ported cylinder which I have the specs for and the head milling specs so it's more just for looks. So if you have one and want to sell it I'm a buyer.

That's a CR head they are slightly different. Here's an ATC head. https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/361398225137

According to the the description in the ad, the CR head posted by onformula1 is preferred, as it allows fitment of a larger exhaust, whereas the ATC head will not. I have not had experience with these parts, just passing on the info in the ad.

Both of those need a lot of work for the cost by the time I re-anodize it.

You could get and old aircooled YZ head and anodize it. 231422
No, this is going to be a replica so it has to be what was run back then.

That head is casted so anodizing it gold is out.

Here's the DG head difference(pics). Also, I have some 83/4R parts that may be of use to you. ARD stat/mag, +5.5/6 skew or durablue axle, mossbarger intake/reeds, jp ported cylinder, rear brake cutoff plate and aluminum rear brake stay(era correct).
I'm going to re anodize the head anyway will the blue one work with the DG pipe? if so shoot me a price.

Sorry, but both are gone. I just posted those for the visual aid as far as cr vs ATC DG heads go. I would recommend a CR head, because the DG head from an ATC would not fit with the old school DG exhaust(ironically). I do have everything else though if you are interested.
No, the head is what I'm missing, but I really haven't found any pics that even show it on his bike, I know the one of his I used as a practice bike didn't have one so it's no big deal, just think it would look better.
