Has anyone used BOTH the v-force and rad valve?

In the same bike? I'd like some real, informed feedback on these things. Planning to get one or the other.

I asked the guy at Trinity about the v-force and the difference in power delivery versus the rad valve. His comment was the v-force hits a little lower in the powerband. About the same on the top end. He also said make sure to order it with the #7 material reeds (stronger). With the stronger reeds it runs about $148 so price is about the same I think.

just picked up my v-force set up today and will be installing it this afternoon,i'll post up power differences as soon as i ride.our shop said that by far the v-force is a better set up,so we'll see.sure does look cool,can't wait no longer,i'm headin to the garage!!!!

I tried both in my Old 85 R, and didnt like either. Between the 2, I left the Rad Valves in longer (maybe a whole day) I used the V Force 2, so I cant say for the new V Force 3's. The V Force didnt stay in my machine barley a day. I ended up going back with plain old Boysen carbon fibers, because they worked best for my setup.

get this $h!#,got the v-force in no problems there.got the bike started up,and warmed up,pull in the clutch and the cable broke,ripped right off were it goes into the lever.looks like it will be tomorrow before i can go steal a cable off the parts bike,let you know then,sry

I used to have a '87 TRX 250 fourtrax back in the day and I got the Rad Valve and there was a very noticable increase in the bottom end. I kept it in there ever time I changed reed's. I wish I still had that quad.

well i didn't get the clutch cable fixed yet,but still took the bike for a ride around my yard,the v-force seemed to make the throttle response more crisp,and snappy.i only ran it through 2 gears but i am convinced it made a diffrence.the bike come onto the pipe early and pulled hard till i shifted,almost ended up in the neighbors living room,BUY IT DUDE!!!!!

I put in a v-force II last year & it made the mid range come on more & a tad more throttle response. That over the stock with boysen 2 stage ones. I was told by a CR rider that you should move the adjustment on the v-force, losens the reeds, for optimal top end & I might try that later on. I'm happy with my bid sniped v-force IIs for $79! :beer

Losening the reeds on the V-Force makes for more a lowend boost and wears out reed petals faster. I have a V-Force II in my T3, I'll compare it to stock when I get my jetting right.

Whichever way it adjusts... So the stock setting is for most mid/top end then? I'm not sure I'd want more bottom... 1st is already almost useless... Then again shoot'n hills in 4th could come on stronger!?!?! But wear'n out stuff ain't good either.
