I installed the 350x headlight assembly on my "R" and when started it the bulbs worked for a second and went out, I assume they blew cause (they don't work now) Does the voltage regulator from the "R" too many volts for 350x headlight assem.?? And if so do i need too install a 350x volt reg? If "YES" will the plugs from harness be the same?

change the wattage of the bulbs to higher watts and they will be better i think they are 45 watts a peice and 55 should do * good, dont take my word for it on the watts but i know higher watt bulbs is all * need.

The 350X bulbs are a 35/36 Watt Halagon bulb for each bulb. Seems like ScottZJ had a similar problem. I wonder... but not a suggestion.... I wonder if you ran the bulbs in series, if that would work. The obvious downfall would be if you blow one bulb, they both go out in series. However, I've seen a lot of 200X's with 350X lights, and some 250R's with 350X headlights, so I don't think it's an issue with the way you hooked it up, else we'd have a zillion threads about this. I'd be snooping around the voltage regulator.

You want to run lower wattage bulbs, not higher. I think the stock bulb is a 45W, so you add the wattage of the two 350X assembly bulbs together to get the equivelance. They make 25W bulbs that fit, a pair of those is about right. Not all Honda trikes had a regulator, I am not sure about the air Rs. If it does not, then putting a 350X or liquid 250R regulator on will work. If it has one now, the symptom you discribe is what happens when the regulator is bad.
