250R axle interchangability

well, i just wanted to know if the 86-89 axles will work in an 85 carrier...and please dont reply if you dont know FOR SURE! thanks, cause it gets confusing and doesnt really help me if i have 10 people say it will work and 10 say it wont.... :p

I dont know for sure, so I wont confuse you more and guess, but I just went through the same thing. I have an 85R and the axle was bent, my carrier teeth were messed up as well.... I searched all over ebay for a used 85 axle, and they all seemed to be TRX axles... I ended up just buying a Lonstar carrier and a durablue axle...... mmmmmmmmm shiney chromey parts...... :D

I'm sorry to say that 85 250r is all on it's own.

if you change the carrie you can.

I know this to be true with dura blue.

ok ,, i have a 88 trx axle in a 85 carrier right now,, it works fine . it takes a little figuring on the sprocket but it works fine.

85-86 carriers don't interchange.
