Sounds good, almost any nearly complete machine is worth $50! It is a 83-85 YTM 200 (plain 200, no letter designation except for the year).

YTM200L- Nice Score!!!

It would only be an "L" if it is a 1984. It would be normally referred to as a YTM200, if it is an '83 it would technically be a 200K, '84 = 200L, '85 = 200N. The K, L, or N just marks it as a specific year. For example the 225DX in his signature could also be called a 225DXN because it is a '85. The only time you need to use the extra letter is when ordering parts because there are slight differences between years.

I am new to this forum and hope you could help me out with something. I have A Yamaha 225 DR . But I dont know what year it is. Could someone tell me how I could figure it out? I think its either an 85 or 86. Thanks in advance.

Look on the engine case under the carb. (from the right side of the trike) there are #'s there. If they start with 1EV then it is an '85 if they start with 1NV then it is an '86. Hope this helps!

Oh yeah, Welcome to 3 Wheeler World! :welcome:
