Do you guys think a 44mm mikuni round slide will be overkill on a 60Hp kx285. It has been ported and polished and is set up for the brutal topend port job.

Thats a big carb, I mean kiss your bottom end goodbye. What riding are you doing to need a 44 mil carb? Full throttle the whole time? I could see it being useful for duning or pure drag racing but it would not be a very woods friendly ride. I'd stick a 40 on it first and go from there if its not enough. What has Mr. Gorr said about your carb choice?

honestly... 44 would probably only work good on that bike if it was runnin alky .... i have read about your bike set up... and have kept it in mind... i personally would runa 40.5 TM/MX carb from ESR, easy tuning, flat side for brutal throttle response... and it will be just as good... with the 44 good luck dialing it in...

I got a good deal on it and I am in need of a carb since the motor didnt come with a carb. I still have the carb I bought off of virgil for the stock 250 but we will see I will stick it on and do some checking and see what happens.
