i just got a 1985 YAMAHA 225 DX...what other years parts will fit on it?...thanks

i think alot of the yfm225 and ytm225 will interchange

i believe the 83-85 225 dx's have little to no change between years. if you need some parts i have a parts trike thats a 225dx.

I would more aim at rear tire pressures.......

Or Possibly the Diff at an angle to the frame.......

Since these are low pressure "Balloon" tires , Air pressure being equal isnt always enough. Get a piece of string -(8 -10 Feet) and wrap it around the right side tire, Mark it, and try it on the left---Adjust the Circumference of the tires equal and spin it around the yard. It should drastically improve.

thats a good idea...but my handlebars are the problem for now...u can look at them and see there off

yup somethings bent...but its bent towards the back and there twisted to the left
do they line up by there self?
do i need new ones?

handle bars are mounted to the top tripple, so yes an unbent pair automatically "aligns" itself

your forks are the problem. they are twisted all to hell


looks like you need some serious air pressure in the left tire too.

forks are bent man. You might be able to straighten them after you get them off...

Those forks are junk.Don't bother trying to fix them.Get some off of egay.

That poor thing.:cry:

The stock exguast system looks to be in good condition.

where are you l;ocaterd at in pa? i have a 1984225dx that i could sell to you. it has good forks but needs the boots. its complete and needs rebuilt(smokes like a raped ape). also needs swinger and rear wheel bearings. pm if interested
