Is this true? If you put a toomey exhaust system on a stock blaster it will have 26hp. Here is the link with the dynochart.

A Blater is rated at 20hp stock, but I beleive that dyno and Yamaha claims are at the crank. I Do not beleive that is even close at the rear tires as I beleive a blaster is like 13-14 at the wheels. That is around the same as a 300EX, Polaris trail blazer 250, and Lakota sport 300.

Blasters are NOT rated at 20hp stock ... they only have 16 usable horsepower - thats a well known fact. Toomey claims a +20% horsepower increase over stock - which comes out to 3.2 horsepower - which would put you right around 20hp - which is just sick for such a small, light bike.

Did you look at the graph posted from Toomey, it list stock at around 20HP and with their pipe around 26-27HP.

Read the fine print on that C of O. I'm willing to bet it lists it as 2 cycle, air cooled, 20 hp or under and then class C ATV or something - every Blaster ever made and IT200 as well, has 16 horsepower stock, allthough I'm willing to bet its probably 18-20 at the crank - but thats not a usable, realworld number.

If you wanna make that blaster move, putting a pipe on is only the first step. A cheap upgrade to compliment that new Tomey pipe would be a K&N filter with Outerware...oh and loose the airbox lid. Blaster are very restricted for air.
