i gottta 200e and its my secound trike my first one never had a battery and im not sure if this one does or not i dont see it but dont you need one for your headlight to work? or maybe not? if you could tell me where to look thast would help alot thanks alot guys. can you hook up electric start on a 200e thats the whole reason im askin about this

the 200E has elec. start...the battery is under the seat.

i dont see no battery under the seat i just took it off and all thats there is the airbox and anouther little plastic box...unless the little plastic one is the battery ...but it dont look like it

Take the seat off. Between the airbox and axle you will find the battery. If there is an empty void there that is rectangular in shape, that's where your battery goes. Be sure to measure the opening and buy the right size battery. Buy the biggest one that will fit the void. A dead battery will cause a very dim headlight, but I'm not sure if no battery will cause no headlight. When I bought my '85 Big Red, it had no battery, but the headlight still worked. I've heard that running with no battery is no good on the charging system, but the guy I bought mine from said he ran it for many years without a battery and it still charges. Check your headlight bulb. If good, check for current to the headlight and go from there.

I suggest an agm or gel battery. they are sealed and last alot longer, plus they cost about the same as regular one.

A friend of mine has a 200e with a bad battery. He has a very dim headlight. A flashlight taped to the bars would do much better than his headlight. So yes, if you had a good battery in yours, your headlight be much brighter. Madman is right, look for a sealed gel cell battery. If you buy the cheapos, it may get you by for a year if you're lucky.
