Anyone know the size of the inlet on the 85-87 250R silencer?
I need a new silencer for my 2 stroke X project and I'm wondering if the FMF Power Core 2 made for the 250R will work, because I know I'm not going to be able to find one specifically for PE pipe.

On an FMF silencer (not the powercore, just a regular fmf), I measured the tip of the silencer inlet pipe where it slides into the larger exhaust tip of the sectional pipe. The O.D. is about 31mm and the I.D. is about 29mm.

29mm is about 1 1/8th inch right? If it is, then it'll work.
Thanks for the help!

The actual measurement I got for the outer diameter was 1.25 inches, and the inner was like 1.14 inches. Yes, very close as 1/8" is .125. If you need it as persise as a tenth or hundreth of an inch, I will have to measure the id again. But that is extremely close.
Edit- I think I have a little carbon build-up I would need to clean to get a more accurate i.d. measurement.

Don't worry about the percise measurement. I just wanted to make sure it was relatively close, so that I didn't buy it and have it be half an inch too large or something like that. If it's just a few mm's off, I won't be too worried.
Thanks again.

Hey ya, good luck with it. I would hate to have you order the parts thinking they would fit, only to find out my measurement was different from the newer exhaust parts. :wondering

I don't see them being much different, since they're for same machine.
Hell, even if they are somehow different theres always a way to make it work!

Just to be safe, that was an '85 Atc250r exhaust I measured. Not the quad.

Thats exactly what I wanted. And just to be safe on my end, I just double checked to make sure that I wasn't looking at the TRX silencer but it specifically says ATC250R.
