I have a big Oldsmobile book that has a some info on it as well. I am an olds fan.

Here is a pic of my 455 that gets 20 mpg on the highway going 55.:D

Those jetfires used water injection instead of an intercooler to keep the intake temperatures down. Essential with a turbo. The consumption is the use of the water that is injected. Well its water mixed with an antifreeze actually. They called it that brand name and sold it in the dealer.

So no, Olds definitely didnt solve the fossil fuel useage all those years ago :lol:
