AssBrapp, get that 350X running solid and you can go home after Raffas with my 200X. If your Honda is hooking up at Raffas like it was Saturday night on the pond your gonna be hard to beat. First time for me to see a Trike railing the corners sideways with the front end in the air. Raffas track looks nice and huge and its gonna be fun to see everyone going at it.
Any pics of Brapp gettin it in the corners?

I dumped it the first night there on the flat track.. 3rd grear wheely then relized i didnt have any back breaks.. I went over backwards and took a good hard tumble... Good thing i brought pain killers with me, i new id need them at some piont.. My hip is just starting to bruse, but doesnt hurt anymore.. I was very sore yesterday, my whole body.. Man im getting old, just cant take the spills like i use to, I dont remember the ground being that hard when i was a kid..lol..

Matt, I dumped it pretty good the first time on the pond. I guess I really didn't feel it much at first cause I was pretty numb (from the cold and the jager!) lol
I don't even know how it happened it was so quick. I either hit the snow bank or the rear tire flexed and I caught the rim?
Spent 4 hours in the emergency room monday morning. I was in so much pain when I woke up I knew something wasn't right. Doc gave me some oxycotins  SO I ain't feeling much of nothing at the moment.:) Gonna be off work for a while now too...

Did anyone notice that the kicker on my R doesnt fit in the holder on the rear plastic? Wrong unit perhaps? Anyone have any idea what pipe that is?
On a side note, I guess on the way there when I 180'd my truck and trailer, the trailer smacked my fender flare and busted it up. Also busted a fuel line or something tonight, as my truck was leaking MAJOR gas everywhere. No biggie, I wont be driving for 2 months anyway. I just finished my Alcohol Safe Driving Classes tonight, 3 days worth at 4 hours a night. Man that was tough. We had a speaker from MADD come in, whose brother was killed by a drunk driver. I felt like such a complete piece of trash afterwards, I'm glad I never hurt or killed anyone all the times I drove drunk. I will never do it again, and I urge others to do so as well. The consequences far outweigh the benefits. Just give it thought the next time and call a ride or taxi, it just aint worth it.

I hear ya. Ive been threw it 3 times. It took me till the 3rd time to learn my lesson. When they finial locked me up and there i was in shackels and chains looking back at my mother holding my 1yr old son it hit me, it was time to grow up.. That was the hardest thing ive been threw in my life nowing that i might not see my son for along time, i was looking at 6-10 years,, luckly money talks alot of money.. They dont look lightly on DWI's and defaced AK47's.. Well not completely grow up but think befor i act from now on. Im a single father that has to be here for my son.. No more situations where i might end up being away from my son other than that its free game..

I've seriously been thinking about selling or trading my 350x the last few days.. I figured I'd post it in here first to see what you guys that seen it run that weekend think.
I know I'll get my ball busted for this but that's fine,, I'm a big boy and I can take it. :beer
I've been in alot of pain since that weekend,, everytime I turn the wrong way, lift my left arm,, or even lie down at night for that matter I can feel those broken ribs shiftin around in there... It hurts like hell.
SO what do you think the trike is worth the way it sits? I got a set of pro wedges that would go with it,, along with the beadlocks and mudlites,, and a brand new set of fast trekkers and rims studded for the ice. Along with a studded front and the other front tire and rim,, and a bunch of extra parts I've gathered over the last year or so.
So what do you guys think? I'm thinkin I need one of those nice comfy quads to ride around the woods on. Anyone have something decent to trade or any ideas on a price I should ask? I'm not even sure if I'm going to get rid of it,, I do love the ole tree fiddy,, but everytime I ride the darn thing I'm beat to hell for the few days afterwards...

I don't want to beat the trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro out of it!

There is a little round pin that holds it on, once thats out it should slide right off.. I might have some extra topend parts i'll dig threw my parts and see what ive got to get rid of..

The reason I was asking about the motor difference is because I do like the 86 motors, they seem easier to work on. Sorry for sounding stupid, I am still learning.

Freak, I don't see anything!! The service manual says the same thing. The pin is what needs to come out to get the housing off. The plate that is in front of that is what will not come off.
freaksfix
02-09-2009, 08:18 PM
Did you take the 10 mill bolt out and take the rotor off of the cam? And there is a few small screws that hold the plate to the housing i think..
Dave's1985200X
02-09-2009, 08:24 PM
I am following the manual and this looks to slide right off the camshaft after you remove the 10 mm bolt from the center of the shaft..............it's not budgin!
This is the plate behind the rotor.
freaksfix
02-09-2009, 08:40 PM
Turn the rotor till the two little arms open enough to clear the rotor then pull the plate and it should all pull off together.. Did you get the philips head screws out of the plate?

My "big comfy quad" is twice as hard on my body in the woods. Having twice as many wheels in the front means the bars are getting jerked around twice as much.

I thought I just got a little bruise when I tipped and caught that handle bar end but my leg got worse after I got home and last Fri. went to get some x-rays. Nothing but a nasty bang and massive bruising from knee to foot. So now im looking for a Bigger Trike, 350X to be exact.:beer I really like my King Quad the 4x4's are nice but I was saying the same things as you are now. Need to slow down and have a plush ride. Now I have an 800 lb quad that I just cant seem to go slow on all the time. They are plush but can be hard on the body after a day of hard riding. Running in 4x4 is alot of work on mine. Maybe something with power steering and a steering dampner would be good for you.
Oh and when you crash a 4x4 they tend to cost a ton to fix. $2,300 for mine to get fixed after its first birthday crash. Been riding the 200X ever since.

Chris, I think thats a DMC Alien pipe ln the Warrior. I think you are gonna kick yourself in the ass for letting the 350 go, lrt alone how pissed Butchie is gonna be.
I've also been considering trading the R for a nice 350x after I get it all buttoned up, I'm just not sure what I want to do. I also have an 85R frame with a CR500 cradle grafted on, I'm just not sure a 500 would be that economical for all the more I ride, so I may part with that if anyone is interested.
