You can change the axle.
that seems like alot for a stock axle? Are the ytm parts more in general?

I bought a complete 225dx rear end (swing arm, brake disc and caliper , axle, hubs) for 200$. YTM around here were popular. I say keep looking around for a deal.
Also when you'll change the axle. Replace the right ( when looking form the rear) bearing and seal for a brand new one.. I stripped the diff be riding with a worn out bearing.

I think you mis-read Luke. In the thread posted above - you asked if you can replace just half of your axle. 3podd answered:
He was simply saying that no, you can not replace 1/2 of your axle - you must replace the entire axle. And the axle goes through a drive unit on the left side.Originally Posted by "3podd
