It lives!!!!! PICS! And a problem.....

So I finally got the exhaust and all that to get her in proper running order and I got to rip it around the backyard for a bit and it felt great! I hadn't ridden a trike in like 8 years! And I live right in a city but luckily have an acre in the back yard so I can't get any real riding pics yet.

It runs suprisingly well except for one thing, the clutch.....It starts just fine but no matter how far back I pull the clutch lever it still creeps when coming to a stop and will eventually die cause it's still in gear and I can't get it back into neutral as the clutch isn't fully engaging....I have adjusted the cables as best as I can, any other thoughts?

    Little wheelie action:

It needs new rear plastics and the tank to be repainted really bad:

Nice looking trike. No matter how much you tighten the cable into the handle, it won't disengage?

^ Sounds to me like its not enguaging fully (still grabs with clutch pulled in) and not enough tension on the lever. Did you try adjusting it where the cable is held on just below jug on right side of motor? There should be two nuts there, each on opposite sides. Turn the back one out, and tighten the front one, and you should be good to go. Let me know if this fixes the problem. Good Luck!

Id pull the clutch cover off and make sure your clutch plates arnt groovin your basket.... Cause i had the similar problem with my 250r... While your at it check your Clutch plates for Warping and makes sure there within service limit... Same with your springs.... The clutch looks alot harder then it is.... get a manual it will have all the info you need.... hope this helps.... keep the pics comin.... what u got planed for it...

The clutch is not that hard to take apart at all, don't let ^^^this guy^^^ scare ya. My first guess is your clutch plates are probably warped. That is assuming you know how to adjust it properly.

Well I am almost positive the clutch return spring is shot because there is very little resistance at all when you pull the lever in the first place and it hardly returns back to where it should......

So you did try adjusting the lower cable adjuster like I had mentioned above, right? If adjusting the cable dosnt cut it, another possibility is that the cable could be stretched.

My guess too, grooves in the clutch basket. My 250R did the same thing with creeping in gear and wouldnt go into neutral with clutch engaged. After changing the basket and putting in new clutch plates runs like new.
