Teaching quads a lesson
I got a call on thurdays about this 85 200x.A freind asked if I wanted it.It has sat outside for a few years as you can tell.I just grabbed the roller today.He has to get the motor,exhaust,and extra tires outta the basement for me.It definitly has rust issues.But if I didnt take it.he was going to give it to the scrape man.There are many usable parts.I have to get a better look at it.Ill be taking orders soon enough!! LOL

There are a lot of people rebuilding machines that look a lot worse. It is a shame to nix another trike by parting it out...I say that machine deserves to run again!

I saved it from the scrape man.I dont have the time or $$ to rebuild this bike.I figured I can at least salvage parts to help others rebuild a number of bikes.If I had unlimited funds,I would try and rebuild every bike I got my hands on.Just doesnt happen.....Originally Posted by whipit

well I just got done stripping it down. Forks,frame,swinger,and triple are so rusted corrided it isnt funny.I was able to get the swinger bolt out no problem.But the exposed splines on the axle are gone.I took a wire brush to see if I could back the lock nut off.Nothing there.But I did manage to save the rest.Brake calipers will need complete rebuild if usable.Not too much made it other then the plastic,gas tank,rear hubs,front axle,swinger bolt with bushing,chain adjuster,airbox,thumb throttle,on/off switch,headlight guard,fender brace,and some other small parts.I will list them after I sell off the 250r parts.
